The Emergency Ban on Flavored E-Cigarettes; What’s Next?
If you are anything like me, you don’t actually care what E-Cigarette flavors the government decides to make legal, and then see it make its way into the hands of everyone. I am sure there are some people who are really that concerned, and have stood up for their rights to choose what flavors they want to used in their vaporizer. However, if you are an American citizen who is older than 18, you have a to vote.
It might sound crazy but there are several illnesses associated with second hand smoke, including cancer, and everyone should desire to quit smoking. There are various toxins found in secondhand cigarette smoke that can cause lung disease, depression, anxiety, weight gain and many other negative side effects. If people start smoking, they have a tendency to inhale so much smoke that they will only have one lung after the first few cigarettes. Vaping flavors like Blueberry Blast, Fruit Colada or Grapefruit Temptations won’t increase the level of smoke inhaled, but it will certainly increase the amount of vapor made by the e Cigarette.
The key reason why the government has decided to place a ban on the sale of these types of E-Cigarettes is because they are addictive, and smokers shouldn’t be made to feel good about themselves for smoking. They just don’t possess the willpower to stop, regardless of how hard they try. The flavors you can buy for your vaporizers is there in order to puff away while you are reading the paper or Novo 2 doing the dishes. The ban on flavors like Blueberry Blast and Fruit Colada was meant to curb the abuse of vaporizers and e Cigarettes around the country.
According to the FDA, the ban on flavored e Cigarettes is here to “provide a healthy alternative for consumers that are increasingly concerned about the general public health crisis.” There were reports over time that e Cigarettes tend to be more addictive than traditional cigarettes. Children are also becoming regular smokers as they do not want to lose out on all the fun of enjoying all of the new vaporizer flavors aside from blueberry and cherry. The FDA has taken an obvious stance in dealing with the new York City health department’s need to ban flavored vaporizers.
Most teens usually do not want to quit their cool cigarettes just to follow the example set by the doctors in New York City. They crave the flavors of these favorite candy and chocolate and would walk out their way to purchase a common flavors. The FDA is coping with the manufacturers of e-Cigarettes, not teens.
